Prior to the “stay at home” restrictions coming into force, The Blyth Academy had been collecting donations for the Blyth Food Bank.  Staff were also donating Easter Eggs to use as achievement prizes for students.  Rather than let these go to waste, the academy has decided to donate the eggs to the food bank, along with the food collected.  Staff at the food bank were very grateful to receive these, and said they were looking forward to giving the eggs to families with children who were accessing this very valuable service.
